Accessibility Statement

The Learning Network is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, in line with our duties under the Equality Act 2010. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we’re doing to improve it, and how to contact us if you hit a barrier.

We want everyone to be able to use this site. We aim to make it possible to:

  • navigate the site using a keyboard
  • resize text up to 200% without content breaking
  • use the site with a screen reader
  • read content with reasonable colour contrast

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability: abilitynet.org.uk/my-computer-my-way

How accessible our site is

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard, but we have not yet completed a full audit against it, so parts of the site may not be fully accessible. Areas we are aware may cause problems include:

  • some older news and event content migrated from our previous site, which may have inconsistent headings, missing image descriptions or PDFs that are not fully accessible
  • the main navigation menu on smaller screens, which we are reviewing
  • third-party embedded content such as our podcast player and events booking, where accessibility is partly outside our control

We are working to address these as we finish rebuilding the site.

Feedback and contact

If you find a problem that is not listed here, contact us and we’ll do our best to help. Tell us the page address and what the problem was.
