Accessibility is a recurring trending topic in the L&D world. And before it gets too hot to handle, maybe it’s worth investing some time to get to grips with it.
In her practice, Olga met experienced instructional designers or eLearning developers who have never created accessible learning or heard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Ask yourself: do you want to be that type of professional? The world today is becoming more and more conscious about accessibility practices, universal design, user-friendly interfaces, and, in general, inclusive user experiences. The eLearning world is also getting there, so do you want to ride the wave or swim in dark waters?
In this webinar, Olga attempts to demystify accessibility in eLearning. The session will include practical tips, with a focus on Articulate Storyline as the most frequently used authoring tool. Some questions she will tackle on this session are:
- Why does WCAG 2.1 matter in eLearning creation?
- How to interpret (or rather, reinterpret) the guidelines so that they make sense for eLearning?
- How to make sure you create accessible resources in a meaningful way?
Olga has been studying the accessibility topic for a while and genuinely wants to create more accessible (e)Learning. This webinar will help open a conversation about the limitations and opportunities that accessible content creation presents.
We will explore…
- What it means to create accessible learning
- How to frame accessibility requirements in eLearning creation
- What learning professionals can do to overcome the perceived limitations of accessible eLearning
- Where to get additional information or resources about accessibility in eLearning
