eLN creates a culture of curious learners at this year’s Connect conference

eLN Connect 2019: Creating a culture of curious learners

The eLearning Network (eLN) announces theme for their 2019 annual conference and opens booking system for early-bird registrations.

The eLN’s annual conference provides an opportunity for L&D professionals to collaborate, network and discuss key learning trends, challenges and agendas. 2019’s event takes place on Wednesday, 20th November at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge.

This year, the conference, now in its fifth year, explores how the L&D community can better support organisations in building and fostering learning cultures that thrive. With real-life case studies, expert inputs and debates, the event focuses on the need for learning to be integrated within the flow of work. It also investigates why learners should take ownership of their learning, so they self-identify how their skills and careers develop.

Joan Keevill, Chair of eLN, said:

“With people’s skills continuously evolving and workplaces rapidly changing, organisations require a different approach to meeting learning needs. Creating the right environment and a company-wide learning culture is critical and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to bring L&D practitioners together once again at this vibrant event to explore what the future holds and how to prepare for it.”

The conference programme, soon to be finalised, includes expert sessions from senior L&D specialists and features keynote addresses from Nicole Bradfield, Partner at Within People, and Robin Hoyle, Head of Learning Innovation at Huthwaite International. The event hosts a dedicated exhibition area adjacent to the conference and an early-evening drinks reception. As in previous years, Training Journal is the event’s sole media partner, covering the day’s discussions and panel debates.

Joan added:

“It’s great to be collaborating with Training Journal again! The TJ team has been at the forefront of the learning industry for over 50 years, supporting the needs of the community and promoting the value of L&D within the workplace.”

Jon Kennard, Editor of Training Journal, said:

“We’re really excited to be part of eLN Connect again. This year’s line-up to date looks fantastic, with fresh thinking to innovate and inspire. A great event and a key date for the diary!”

The eLN is taking bookings for the event and early-bird registration is available until Friday, 9 August 2019. If you’re interested in sponsoring and/or exhibiting at eLN Connect 2019, contact eLN Board Director Steph Bright.

Training Journal provides online resources and a dedicated publication for the training and L&D industry, highlighting the latest trends and research to help shape opinion and drive improvement. Training Journal hosts the TJ Awards – an annual event to promote and reward the learning and development community – and organises a series of webinars held one a month.
