Learning leaders struggle to keep up with constant change of pace of the business. It’s been recently reported that employees’ major complaint with organizational learning is that it’s no longer relevant. What do leaders need to do differently to ensure learning opportunities are relevant for employees and the business? They must have a clear and agile learning strategy that aligns with the core metrics of their business.

All learning has a business impact. Our job is to create a clear hypothesis for how each learning initiative supports a business’s needs and goals and test that hypothesis regularly with good data! This session will give leaders the essential critical thinking skills and tools to help them create their learning strategy and track its effectiveness on a regular basis!

About the speaker

Dr. Alaina Szlachta is on a mission to expand data literacy within the learning and education sector … using training, coaching, and assessment and evaluation solutions. She’s played nearly every role in the knowledge industry over the past 15 years including: adjunct professor, corporate trainer, curriculum writer, instructional designer, program manager, evaluation specialist, research associate, and assessment developer. In that time, Alaina has come to understand that people with data have power. To elevate our work, our careers, and have a greater impact, we must boost our confidence and capabilities working with data.
