Building a highly effective L&D team: Is it like catching lightning in a bottle?

This event has passed.

Organisations are demanding more of their L&D teams. What does this mean for the roles and skills mix within teams and how can we make sure the teams we are part of, or responsible for, are fit for the future?

Join Keith Quinn to explore the key components in building an engaged, innovative and creative L&D team.

I used to tell senior management that the team I had was like catching lightning in a bottle. It was my way of trying to get them to understand that we had something special here. But, that analogy wasn’t totally accurate. Building my team had not been a result of random chance as I might have implied. In fact, I had worked hard to create a culture and an environment to support staff to excel in their work in order to be greater than the sum of the parts. I also realized that I had developed an approach that was easily replicated with a bit of care and attention—an approach that would make catching lightning in a bottle commonplace and not just a product of random chance.

This session will look at the strategies and practices needed to build a team with a focus on learning and learners; using research to inform practice and an emphasis on Learning Transfer.
