When I was voted on to the eLearning Network board in November 2016, one of the things I was keen to explore was how to add value to membership of the network. My fellow board members were already organising a series of face-to-face events for members but I was aware that it’s not always possible to take a day out of the office or away from work. That’s one reason I offered to run a series of webinars for the eLN. Another was the low or no cost and of course the convenience to attendees, but I was keen to offer ‘value for time’!
I’m pleased to say the first was held on 30th March and it featured a number of Learning Technologies Awards judges who were prepped to share their experiences of judging the awards and to offer tips for those entering, or considering entering this year. Unfortunately, two of the panel went down sick just prior to the webinar but we carried on – Alan Nelson, Viv Cole and myself, plus input from Kate Graham. Between us we have more years of experience of judging than I can safely admit to! I won’t go into all the tips and suggestions here; instead I’ll direct you to the recording of the webinar which you can access here: https://www.zoom.us/recording/detail?meeting_id=jX1WjSgPRPa4lrZctp%2BYAA%3D%3D
The second webinar took place on 27th April and the speaker was Richard Hyde, formerly of MindClick and now Learning Pool. Richard has extensive experience of ‘gamifying’ elearning and he shared that with participants in a very engaging way!
